Wesport Connecticut has a new summer camp offering for children in grades 2 to 5. “Summer in the House” is a three week long summer camp that will be held in the Sheffer Rehearsal Studio on the Westport Country Playhouse campus.

Here is an excerpt from the Westport Country Playhouse website describing this new program:

Summer in the House offers students exposure to the discipline and techniques of theatre in a creative environment using an approach which combines music, movement and drama. Through fun and enriching activities, children will learn to use their bodies, voices, minds and imaginations. The program is staffed with artist-educators who are professionals in their field and are dedicated to nurturing creativity in each child.

Running from July 7, 2008 to July 25, 2008 this program will be held from 9am to 1pm for children entering grades 2 and 3, the hours for kids entering grades 4 and 5 are 2pm to 6pm. The cost of this program is $725 and space is limited.
