That’s such a good thing. Too many parents simply have no idea what their kids are getting up to on the net.

This is a really important topic that more parents need to consider. We limit our children, ages 8 and 10, by only letting them use the internet at certain times of the day. The computer is located by the living room, and an adult has to be near to monitor. We have a few things set up, but mainly we stay involved in what they are doing. Too many parents buy a computer, set it up in the kid’s room or the basement, and say “Have at ‘er!” .

April,
You are so right. Even though we trust them it is too easy for kids to type in a wrong key and end up on a not so savory site.

Tim,
Your set up sounds very much like ours. I insist that the computer be centrally located so I can keep an eye on what the kids are doing.
