Recent studies have shown that before babies become verbal, they are capable of responding and communicating using sign language.
The Westport Public Library in Westport Connecticut is offering a free Mother Goose Special: Fun With Signing! for babies 23 months and younger along with their caregiver on May 8, 2008. There will be 2 sessions – one at 9:30 am and one at 10:30 am. Reservations are not required – just drop in.
This event will feature Eileen Baker M.E.D. who is a sign language consultant. She will review simple methods of signing with your baby.
